Film and TV Production

Our production business covers all the key stages of the production cycle – from initial pitch stage, to scriptwriting, funding, physical production and post-production, i.e. from the origins of an idea through to the finished project.

Our team creates both films and TV series for a wide, global audience and consists of producers, scriptwriters and strategic film and TV development executives who are all experts in their respective fields.

Our Production team creates local content in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and we also produce international content in English. We put magic in motion!

Acquisition and Licensing

Our Acquisition team is responsible for acquiring and co-producing feature films, documentaries and TV-series to distribute to our audiences in the Nordic market.

They operate as scouts to source local and international independent film and TV projects. They assess projects, read scripts, screen content, negotiate, nurture talent and build strong partnerships with productions companies, sales agents and talent both in the Nordics and international. They have a passion for finding projects that the audience wants and have a great love for film.

The Licensing, Sales & Rights team focuses on TV and SVOD (subscription video on demand ) support services in the Nordics and are also responsible for maintaining SF Studios’ library and rights & royalty for local content.

Theatrical Distribution

The Theatrical Distribution team is responsible for launching films to cinemas in the Nordics and handles marketing and sales towards theatrical exhibitors to create awareness, interest and buzz for our upcoming film slate.

They also manage marketing activities on social media via promotions and events linked to movie premieres and media campaigns for each title. Our Theatrical Distribution team works across multiple locations in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki. The team looks after all of SF Studios’ produced films, as well as films produced by local producers and the major Hollywood studios (including Warner Bros, MGM and Sony).

Home Entertainment

Our Home Entertainment team distributes film and TV series via streaming, DVD and Blu-Ray.

Our team works with all SF Studios’ produced titles and manages the licensing of approximately 2,000 library titles made up of both local and international content. The team’s mission is to maximize opportunities in the home entertainment market through the sales and marketing of our films and TV series throughout the Nordics.

Our distribution support team is dedicated to ensure that every aspect of a film or TV series release works optimally and covers everything from making sure that subtitles are finished to the highest possible standard, to ensuring that poster, promotional assets and all video files are in order.

SF Anytime

Our streaming operation is made up of three teams that look after our streaming service SF Anytime. Their mission is to deliver the best streaming service to audiences across the Nordics and Baltics.

Our Customer Experience & Engineering team is responsible for developing the technical platform for SF Anytime, managing the customer experience and meeting the needs of our valued users.

Our Content & Publishing team focuses on licensing, publishing and content curation for SF Anytime and is responsible for making our services as appealing and accessible as possible.

Our Marketing & Sales team is responsible for boosting sales and maximizing  brand awareness - both through B2B-partnerships and directly to end consumers.

HR & Communications

Do you like to be at the center of things, where no day is ever the same? Our HR & Communications team manages all people and organizational related matters and SF Studios’ external and internal communication. 

Our HR team plays a key role in looking after our employees, maintaining strong leadership and building our culture across all our business areas in the Nordics and in the UK. The Communications team is responsible for all branding and external communications – including setting brand and communication strategies, managing press activities and planning our conferences and external events.


Our Finance team provides financial expertise to all our businesses and across all of SF Studios’ locations, from cashflow analysis and payments to budget and forecasting, accounting, reporting and business analysis.

The Finance team also makes sure that royalties are managed and paid.

Our Legal team provides support across the full range of SF Studios’ business activities, such as drafting and negotiating contracts, providing legal advice during the lifecycle of a film or TV production, handling the acquisition and distribution of feature films and TV dramas, and managing the legal needs of our streaming services SF Anytime and SF Kids.

Our IT team plays a central role in our organization and is crucial in enabling our business to run smoothly.

The team is responsible for our IT infrastructure and developing our technical platforms. They also ensure that our services and helpdesk are functioning at the highest level. Our IT team oversees the IT systems and programs used in various part of our organization - for example in our Theatrical Distribution team and Finance department. As a member of our IT team, you work with a variety of different stakeholders across all areas of our organization.
